LA MIRADA, CALIFORNIA – According to reporting from Whittier Daily News, a motorcyclist who was involved in a major crash last week has passed away from his injuries. The victim of the tragic accident — identified as 61-year-old Roland Sarabia of La Mirada, CA — suffered severe blunt force trauma injuries in the collision.
The motorcycle crash occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, October 18th. In reviewing traffic camera footage of the incident, law enforcement officers determined that Mr. Sarabia was traveling in the southbound lane when he collided with a car that was pulling out of a local restaurant parking lot.
As his motorcycle made contact with the side of the oncoming vehicle, he was unable to maintain control of the bike. He then struck a curb and was thrown from his motorcycle and propelled into a utility pole on the side of the road.
The Whittier Daily News reports that no charges have been filed against the woman who was driving the other vehicle.
We extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Sarabia’s family and his loved ones during this difficult time.
